Check out the pocket size of my new pool table!

just to echo what russ said, extremely tight pockets are not nessecarilly a good thing. you want to make sure that they elevate your game, not change it to adapt to them. for example you might be playing with a bit less confidence and being more wary, or maybe you'll be slow rolling everything. just things to bear in mind.

Ahh, yeah that makes a lot more sence. I usually like to tell myself when I miss something like, "You would have made that shot if the pockets were atual size lol"

true! tight pockets maybe won't dent your confidence if you have a mindset like that! what i like to to is not beat around the bush. i say to myself things like, "you would have ran out that rack if you were'nt so crappy and practiced a bit more!"

So is 4.25" a good size or is it going to screw up my shooting?

Trust me its not going to hurt you any. My table has 3 7/8 inch pockets plays tighter than the virgin mary. The table is tough but you always feel like your instroke no matter what table you are playing on. What I am trying to say is this, when you go to a foreign room 98% of the rooms pockets are bigger than what you are used to so the game should feel easier. Hit balls on this for 5hrs a day for a year and you will be giving people who give you the 8
ball the 8 and the break maybe more.

GOOD Luck

Sweet, I do try to put in about 5 hours a day on it, it just gets hard when you got school and stuff. Thanks for posting.

Nice table, 8-Ball Player.

I say that a lot, as well.:D The pockets on your tables will make you a champ if you keep at it. If you want to play pro speed, I think the first step is to practice on tight tables.

Nice Table! Here are a few pics of my table, I posted these pics a couple of years ago but figured there are new posters now that might not have seen them. I have noticed improvments in my game especially when I play at pool halls that have tight equiptment like Hollywood Billiards and Good Time Billiards in Van Nuys CA. There was a time when I would play at these places and not be able to run 3 balls because the pockets were so tight. Because of practice on my table at home I feel very comfortable at both of these places. I hope you enjoy your table. Peace.

Wow! Nice setup snake. Tight pocket table, good lighting and a fully stocked bar. When is the next pool party?

You dont need a ruler, thats why I got the ball sitting there. Its 2.25" so do the math. The pocket about 4.25" , if you really want a picture with a ruler let me know and I will take it.

a pic with 2 balls would be the best, they look good to me, have fun.

Thanks, 8ballEinstein... I'm having a pool/poker night in late July, do you live in the Los Angeles area?
