Chicago Leagues not worried about handicaps?

Hey are there any Chicago leagues where its balls out and the people in the league are not worried about their handicaps going up? I heard there used to be a league that was set up where the players needed to win every time you played, it was a while ago so I can remember the rules, but it sounded like a good league. I heard there is a league like that in Addison IL but that is kind of a hike from me after a work day. Im near Harlem and Rt 290 or Harlem and Rt 55
 
Pyramid Club out in Addison has 2 leagues. Monday is a 3-man team and Thursday is a 5-man team. Both leagues are handicapped however, there is NO sand-bagging. I would say these leagues are some of the strongest around. Players play to win!!

Years ago I ran a league out of the old Cue Can Do. It was an all scratch league 5-man teams, 100% money back to players. We had $28,000 in prize money on our largest year. All monster players!

So where do you work? The Marathon...the Jiffy lube... The bedding experts....the cleaners....the Uhaul place....The Volvo dealership... The candy factory......Mohr's cement? I'm guessing that European sun tan joint!

More leagues like you ran out of Cue Can Do would be great.

I hear a lot of good things on the league play at Pyramid.

I played in the Cue Can Do leagues back around 2002ish. Playing in a tough league with no handicap is a good way to raise your game a notch or two. After 10 year or so break I have been looking for a good league to get into in the coming fall.PM on it's way.
 
Geez! Find yourself a sense of humor dude! Anyhow; if you're near 290, the closest pool rooms, as far as I know, are way up on Grand ave. One is a little bit east of Harlem and the other one is a little west of River Road. There's a place on Irving Park rd. a little east of Austin, and there's a room in a big mall on Manheim, about a half - mile north of North ave. I've never been in any of them. Oak Park billiards closed about a year ago. I'm not too big on what's north of Cermak or west of Manheim.

Yeah, the teams are tough. 2 teams finished in the top 4 in the ACS state tourney this year. We got a few world beaters, national and state masters champions, and at least one "pro" that is pushing 70 but will gamble with anyone that wants to play....and he has the second highest handicap in the league of over a 100 shooters.... pretty strong for a guy at 70 ;) And yeah, he's on my team ;)

Winter session just ended... the summer session starts in 13 days... so if anyone wants to join, it's easier to get in the summer league.... we have 16 teams during the fall and winter sessions, but in summer it drops to 8 teams... so many teams are looking for another player... most folks don't wanna shoot league in summer... including me !!
