Chicago Prize Payouts

Does anyone know when the IPT will be giving out the details of the prize payouts for the upcoming Chicago event?

I know it's listed on the IPT website but I was under the impression that these will change similar to Reno was changed to make the players play out every match as it would affect their prize.

NOTE, can everyone keep all the trash away from this serious thread, I'm only looking for straight answers and not off topic remarks.

Thanks.

2nd Place $0
3rd Place $0
4th Place $0

I guess you missed this bit Penguin, eh?

I don't know if anyone knows when they will announce the pay-outs. The problem is, even if they announce it, we have seen that anything having to do with money is subject to change with little notice. Entry fees change, pay-out amounts change, pay-out schedules change. So even if they publish payouts, I don't know what it would be worth.

If you really want a straight answer about the payoffs in Chicago, call Kevin T...I'm sure he has the information you would like..

It should be painfully clear by now that no one participating in this forum has or has access to the answers you seek. As an IPT player one would think that you would have more knowledge of the particulars of the IPT than those not affiliated with it.

You can perhaps forgive the fanbase for posting cynical answers to what is primarily a question to the ether.

The only person who is a member of the forums who could possibly but not probably be able to answer any questions about the IPT which would be of any relevance chooses not to. That person would be Deno Andrews.

Perhaps, if the British contingent were to act unanimously in a boycott of the IPT until the money is paid and some kind of contractual guarantee is in place then Mr. Trudeau might reconsider his stance regarding the lack of both credible information and common courtesy towards the players, otherwise known as the product.

After all, the IPO is said to be on the London Exchange, no? Perhaps the threat of a unified press release by the British players who have done so well in the IPT thus far would prompt the IPT to some positive action.

If not, what have you lost? As of right now you are uninformed and unpaid with no guarantee of anything that was "guaranteed".

Nope, didn't miss it.

Although it may have sounded like a joke, I was being 100% serious. I have a few friends who are still owed money from Reno (and because of that lack of funds did not attend the U.S. Open).

And until all the players have been paid from Reno, I would consider any Chicago payout amounts given from KT, the IPT web site, or otherwise, to be as good as zilch.

My suggestion to anyone planning to attend the Chicago event would be to make sure there's enough room in your budget to withstand another potential non-payment of tournament money.

In other words, do not believe what you see, hear, or read from the IPT until the cash is in your hands... and even then you might want to doublecheck it to make sure it's for real.
