Chicago weekly tournaments? can anyone help?

I don't know about any handicap tournaments in the area but Chicago Billiard Cafe is going to start having thursday night double elimination 9ball tourneys February 26. It's a $10 entry race to four winner breaks all money is paid back and there are no green fees. Hope to see you there!
 
sounds good but i have friends that want to play in handicapp events cause we are all not good. wouldnt handicapp events be better, and more people? the open events usually die out after awhile cause same 2 guys win it

Chris' does a handicapped 9-ball tournament on Sundays. Although it's probably not the scene for average to weaker players. I know the Green Room out in Downers Grove used to run handicapped tournaments a couple nights a week.

It seems like a lot of places that have handicapped tournaments around here are using the APA handicaps, so if you've got a current APA handicap, you might try that route. Check out the message board on www.chicagoapa.com. There's a section devoted to tournaments.
