Chinese 8 Ball

Anybody ever hear of this game? ... guess it has also been called reverse pool or carom 8..... just saw a vid and it looks like a very fun game...also a valuable tool/drill for learning to control the cue.

Does anybody play it ...or even better gamble on it?

around here some bangers play what they call chinese 8 ball....after the break the 8 ball is put up on a piece of chalk where it lies....if someone knocks it off during the game they lose. they shoot it off the chalk when it needs to be shot. stupid if you ask me....just my 2 cents,

I've always known this to be called "Irish Pool"

Kiss pool

I have been playing this type of game version for many years ..I have heard it called> Irish / Polock / Crazy 8 Ball. Down south in the US ..I have heard it called Kiss Pool! <I like this term better. I use the game to have my students practice.

I have always heard that one called Tower Pool. I guess we try to be none ethnic here. Though, Yes I do know of the other as Irish pool.
