Chinese 8ball official rules

Hi all! I am new here...
I would like to know where can I find the official set of rules of the Chinese 8ball game, or at least, a detailed one. All I found is about an older versión of the game very different to the one played in the 8ball Masters that Gareth Potts won 2 months ago.

Thanks! About the video, looks like rules are exactly the same as American 8ball. My doubts were about calling shots, because in this video, I understood that you must call the exactly shot ("pocket my ball in that corner pocket, and my opponents one in that other pocket"). min 7:44

Also looks like he referes to foul what is only a loss of turn, that doesn't help too trying to understand the rules...

there are no "official" rules for chinese 8 ball. All three major tournament runners have their own rules. The rules seem identical to WPA/BCA 8 ball, there are some local flavours.

The call shot is the same as in WPA/BCA, you should and only need to call one pocket and one of your balls. I don't think any one have been called opponent's balls.
What they do is clearly define the "obvious shot which you don't have to call" as those straight in shot. anything more complicated such as banks, caroms or combos shall be called before hand but you only need to call the intended result not the details.

However, the incident you were referring might have been just a wrong ruling by the ref. Failing to call the shot should only result in losing the turn. There were cases that an inexperienced ref called out foul and the players didn't complain.

That's a good summary.
One extra rule they put into the Masters is when shooting the 8-ball, you must call the pocket AND have the ref confirm it before shooting or it doesn't count.

Let us complete ignore the obvious though.

A user of an american website, based in tokyo, asking about chinese 8 ball rules.
