Chinese Pool International Professional League International Elite Tournament, Jun 16-24.

Thanks. The handicap is strictly for tier one from what I looked at. 2nd place for this lady in April against the best of the best in that discipline ..... on "those" tables. Impressive is an understatement in the female world of pool. Let alone the male.

ok, they changed it to the better if that's the case. in the final in april she had the handicap.

I'm still trying to figure out how I feel handicaps - I find Skostokig's thoughts on them persuasive - but I doubt I will ever be hugely bothered by them.

That said, before this thread, I was only familiar with handicaps where one player had to win one (or more) fewer games to win the match. A handicap of balls rather than of games seems, ah, much worse.

You're right. We'll see how she fares down the road. In the meantime, Final 16 this last time is hard for anyone to do.

L16 is very strong and shows her speed. iirc the women had two handicaps last time around, aside from the one discussed above they also didn't have a forceful break requirement. i would assume that one is still there, and if so i'm more ok with it (another option would be to have a forceful break requirement but let the ladies break a couple inches closer to the rack).

Tang was bustin' 'em strong in the match I watched. Maybe it's a requirement at the elite level too. You would think the rules could be easily found.
