Ding just snapped off the Welch in snooker and the world 8 ball was dominated by chinese players. Lately pool and snooker have been growing in popularity in China. I have to believe that the more success Chinese players have in international competition the more snooker and pool will grow in China. Once the prize purses increase for Chinese tournaments I think this is nothing but good news for everyone. Who knows with the game growing in China maybe that would fuel a resurgence here. Maybe all this is wishful thinking, but who knows?

I agree and posted somthing similar earlier today. l hope the momentum of the international pool scene ultimatly results in billiards being accepted in the Olympic Games. If this happens, pool might make a come back in the USA without the need of a Hollywood movie.

Your right!

I have been over seas and it is amazing to see the enthusiasm for the game..., there are so many good young players and in in Africa and Australia they are playing a game something like 8 Ball that is growing like crazy.

I agree with you that these types of things and all the action in China could bring our game back to where it should be state side. We also need more big pay tourny's and more young guys coming into the game, thats where APA comes in...., get more people to feel like they can play, compete and enjoy the game. Hope it all keeps growing.
