It's been a long time since I've put anything at all here.
Nostalgia grabbed ahold of me. Back in bout 96 I played on the Nashville league in a dump bar right next to the south police precinct station on Nolensville Rd. I don't tember the name of the little shithole. It was owned by an old fat feller named George.
My pool playing was soon to come to a crashing halt, as I was doing my dead level best to drink myself to death. But at this point I was still playing pretty strong.
I was one of two power players on my team. The handicap maxed out at 7. They held a special meeting to try to make the two of us "8's". It didn't pass. My teammate showed up in Nashville straight outta Peoria Illinois in a Corvette Stingray with ahot little blonde & 70 grand on him. His name was Chito Bueno. No I'm not kidding. That is his actual name. And he could flat out play. He was a good natured fellow & a pleasure to be around.
This was at the end of my playing days as booze destroyed my ability to play. I had to give up pool to get sober. I've been sober since June 23,1997. I have as yet to regain the ability I once had. I get glimpses now & again. But I quit for a couple years to get sober & later I quit for almost 10 years.
I'm playing again. First time in a league or playing 8 ball since 96. I'm not impressed with my performance so far. But I only play once a week & live 70 miles from the city where I play.
So earlier I tried to look up Chito on the internet. Almost nothing at all. So I wonder if anyone knows what happened to Chito or where he is. If anyone has any information I sure would appreciate it.
