For those who have not been to the room since the management change... I stopped in this weekend and the room is looking nice, very nice. The new owner has done alot and has many more plans for the room. The new Diamond is the center of the room as it should be... I am looking forward to heading back to Classic's for a stop on the "Dishaw Custom Cues CNY Tour" this season. Check out the room and support their efforts to support our sport...

Bump for a new pool room owner trying to promote the game. Need some feedback from the potential players. Thanks for looking.

Money added tournament

This event is "sign up" the day of the event, but it will not be a soft field. I can think of several strong players who will be coming, but won't spoil the surprise by mentioning any potential names.

To the new management thanks for hosting a "money added" event which virtually insures it's sucess. You are off to a good start.

I hope to make the trip if possible. If anybody else from the Syracuse area has the stones to play you are welcome to come along for the ride with me. It should be fun.

I've never been to Classic Billiards in Rochester but all I've heard were good things. I can't wait to check it out this weekend. Count me in even with a 4 hour drive.

Skip,

Where are you coming from? Do you need directions?

All eight of our GC III's were just redone with new rail rubbers and S 860. Not sure if we will be using any of the Big "G" tables. Finals on the Diamond Smart. Thanks for the post. Look forward to meeting you.

Hi Folks,

Nice turnout at Classic today. Just got home. Final match is between Dennis Hatch and Shane Winter. Finished third. Just couldn't get by either one of those great players. Should have results and payouts tomorrow. To tired to stay for the finals. Damn I'm getting old!

Before I continue, I want to apologize on behalf of the management at Classic for the incorrectly written flyer. The $1000 added was guaranteed regardless of the number of entries. The flyer also stated $1000 to first place. They promise to get it right next event. Having said that, here are the results and payouts for yesterday's 9 Ball at Classic Billiards in Rochester, NY.

First: Dennis Hatch (undefeated!) $700

Second: Shane Winter $450

Third: Lyn Wechsler $360

Fourth: Ron Casanzio $180

Fifth: Nick Brucato $100

Sixth: Mike Donnaly $100

Seventh: Ernie Pugsley $50

Eighth: Dave Grau $50

Hatch - Bye, Winters 9-1, Donnaly 9-5, Brucato 9-3, Wechsler 9-2 and Winters 11-1

Winters - Pugsley 9-1, Hatch 1-9, Heidrich 7-3, "T" 7-1, Purdy 7-5, Grau 7-3, Brucato 7-3, Casanzio 7-1, Wechsler 7-5 and Hatch 1-11 in the finals.

Wechsler - Heidrich 9-6, Clingon 9-4, Grau 9-4, Casanzio 9-6, Hatch 2-9, Winters 5-7.

Thanks to new owners Ed and Michelle White for adding both the money and pizza for the tournament. Tournament director was Bruce Prince assisted by Ralph Donato. Thanks to them and the players who supported the event.

All I can say about my experience at Classic Billiards in Rochester is "WOW". What a great time I had at this establishment. The tables played wonderfully and the place looked great. Classic Billiards is a great environment for a good time and it also represents pool in a superior way. There is no question that I'll go back to see the guys at Classic. The service was second to none. Ed, Michelle, Bruce, and Ralph did a great job welcoming myself and my father by making us feel like regulars at a new room. My hat is off to you guys for supporting the sport of pool.

Lyn,
I understand your feelings when you say "Just couldn't get by either one of those great players". I too fell to Dennis and his perfect play. I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed conversing with you and watching you play. I've learned a lot from you and look forward to seeing you soon.
