Clay Renfroe info

Hi!
Silver Member
For those that know Clay and didn't know this yet, he was in a horrible motorcycle accident last Saturday night. Clay lives in the Dallas-area and is a jam-up pool player. The below is from an online journal created for his friends and family for updates:

"He broke his right arm, leg, foot, and ankle in numerous different places, and will have a long journey of recovery ahead of him, but with all of their loving friends and family, we know he can do it.

He also lost a lot of blood, and has had to have many blood products. He had many cuts when he arrived in the ER, and unfortunately, they were all arteries that were cut. He has many facial fractures, that will be corrected at a later time, but is in need of reconstructive surgery for his foot, ankle, and arm, so this is top priority right now, along with keeping his blood counts up. He also fractured his hip. The good thing is that he does not have a head injury, and that he doesn't remember what happened just yet (which is normal)."

I hope and will pray that Clay will recover soon. Sorry to hear that. Motorcycles can be fun and can be dangerous. I personally a afraid o them. It is always saddening to hear someone got hurt, regardless of whether or not we personally know them.

Take care Clay.

I just heard last night at league! Is he at Parkland Hospital, I hope so because they put me back together after mine.

Do you know the room number or is in ICU. I would like to go see him.

Clay is at Parkland in Rm 716. He was stepped down one level from the ICU. In addition to many other serious injurys, he has no feeling in his lower right arm and hand due to severed nerves- a tough deal for a poolplayer. Doctors may be able to repair this in the coming weeks.

He really likes visitors. So, if you know him stop by.

that is terrible news. Clay has always been real cool to me and seems like an all around good guy. And your right, one helluva pool player. I really hope he comes through this one ok. we'll keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
