Cleaning a table

Last night I was vacuuming my Olhausen table. It's been a while since I last cleaned it. All of sudden, a new idea came to my mind, why not try my iRobot cleaner on the table? So I did and it turned out to be a great idea. The side brush did a fantastic job cleaning the underside of the rails.
I did see some of the table cloth fibers in the dust bin of the iRobtot, but it happens as well when I use a regular vacuum.
Now I think using iRobot to clean my table is a great idea and it was fun to watch too :grin:

Think you might be on to something. maybe reach out to iRobot and pitch them the idea of a dedicated vacum for pool tables. I know they have different ones they also make a gutter cleaner as well so i dont think they would be above making one just for a pool table.

Very cool idea. I would have one concern: No way to treat the seams of the slate more gingerly to keep the wax or putty from lifting, of course not knowing how much suction there is on that thing. Just a thought.

But I really like the idea, thanks for sharing.

I was concerned the robot may damage the table cloth too, but I checked the cloth after cleaning and didn't see anything. BTW, I used a 530 model, not sure about other models though.

It does have a roller brush at the front. I have the original table cloth that came with the Olhausen table. I didn't like the cloth and I have been hoping it gets bad soon so I can ask for money from the boss (wife) to replace it. So I was willing to take the risks :)

Doesnt it have a roller brush on the front? I think that is bad for Simonis, no?
