Cleaning creamy chalk off cloth

I just had Championship Tour Edition installed on my home table. I really like it as it plays similar to Simonis 860 and I want to take care of it. The problem is I use Kamui.98, but only sparingly...maybe only every 20 - 30 shots. I was recently informed that Masters and other traditional chalks can be brushed/vacuumed up whereas the creamy chalks like Kamui stick to the cloth and can't be cleaned.

Do you have any suggestions to maintain it?

Also, is it recommended to keep the cover on the table when not in use. I like to shoot a couple long straight ins every time I walk past it and that makes it troublesome to uncover and cover several times a day.

That soft chalk - any brand (I use V10) - comes off with a soft bristle brush and a hand vac. Always make sure you have the brush attachment on any vac so as not to suck up the cloth.

I just throw a $100 off brand roomba from walmart on it. I charge it up and then either give it a 30 minute button push or just put it in auto until the battery dies. Pretty simple.

Is the roomba device the kind with a spinning brush in addition to just suction? I've always been hesitant to use anything that tugs on the felt, in concern for stretching it or raising the nap. You've not had that happen with the roomba vacuum?

It's not been an issue. They have short bristles. I have 860HR but the pool room with regular 860 uses them too. They really don't get enough suction to pull the cloth. I used to hate vacuuming and this saved me from having to do the annoying chore. Just pop it on the table after a practice session.

Modern worsted cloths are not bothered by vacuums. Brush or no brush.
A roomba is the perfect tool for keeping your cloth chalk-free. I've used them for 10 years now, and when changing the cloth on tables that have had regular cleanings with a roomba, there is rarely any chalk on the slate and never anything under the rails.

Does it handle the areas under the rails and in the pocket corners? If so, I'm getting one tomorrow!
Yes, it cleans under the rails.
You'll be amazed at how much it picks up the first couple of times you use it.
If you get a used one, the 800 series and above have better suction.

Does the suction stretch the cloth? It seems like it would over time.

Will the Roomba clean the Kamui makeup stains? We had a player use it in a BCA league I ran. The room vacuums the tables daily and it took a fair amount of work to get that mess off the table. The player was told he has two options: 1. Play elsewhere if you want to use the Kamui or 2. You need to use "regular" chalk (they provide Masters) to continue to play here.
