I've heard you talk about narrative before and thought about my narrative that I play.
I sort of play 2 characters one the guy who practices shooting shot over and over which sometimes I'm not sure if that's just bait, seems like practicing attracts action. I enjoy repetition and feedback. I do however get lost in practice where it becomes punishment.
My second character is the truck driver that likes to gamble, I love the thought of being a legendary road player. I go pool hall to pool hall and everyone knows that I'm the truck driver and knows I like to gamble.
I love to catch good players off guard and I like out running the nuts.
I wish I could find a balance between work, health, and pool.
If I had a narrative I could play out it would be the the role of the league player. Pool is my job I have to practice to maintain my play to survive the action. I see league players just as committed or consumed by pool as any yet they don't have to put in the work and losing doesn't seem to be so expensive. The social aspect looks appealing. I am who I am.

I actually hope I'm the student your looking for, when you talk about students I feel like your speaking directly to me. My frustration with pool comes from being so close. I break even too many times just a slight edge away from beating so many players that I'm not supposed to beat.
Anyway I'll ramble forever and lord knows I don't need to post my thoughts openly on AZ .
