Hello is this Argentine Lignum Vitae? Most suppliers are saying they are selling "lignum vitae" when they are actually selling "Argentine lignum vitae" or even Verawood. Do you know the botanical name of the wood you're selling? Argentine lignum vitae (bulnesia sarmientoi) and Verawood (bulnesia arborea) are not lignum vitae and are probably not related to lignum vitae. Genuine lignum vitae is now nearly impossible to get, there are small amounts that pop up from time to time that were imported before the current import ban, or under a strictly controlled permit process. All real lignum vitae has a botanical name that starts with "guiacum".

Real Lignum Vitae is a dark brown color, that's why I ask...

This is Yellow in color, and the wood was marked Lignum Vitea, this is all I know.
