cleaning shaft

Maybe you should e-mail Predator to let them know they're ignorant, that denatured wood alcohol damages shafts and that water works great if you just grease up the shaft for about 10 years with hand oil.

what? i guess if i want to follow your advice ill just start now and in 2021 ill be set to use some water. anyway, i think (not sure) we all know moisture damages shafts. i would think the 2 most damaging things are moisture and excessive heat (especially excessive and rapid cooling and heating). so if you want to put water, one of the worst things for your shaft, directly onto it, fine... be my guest. it truly is fine by me. as far as the whole rapidity of wiping water away subject.... i mean in our world im sure it seems this way, but on a molecular level things work perhaps differently than you think. there are pores in shafts, water can enter them, yes quicker than you can wipe it away. and yes, after that, it can even go deep into the wood too! can u believe that ("but i saw it get all wiped away with the towel" somebody shouts)?! really though, if it works keep doing it....

The suggestion to send an e-mail to Predator was directed to LAlouie, not you. In case there was any confusion.
