Clear coat removal

Clear coat on older McDermott cue is cracked. What is the recommended way to remove clear coat. Don't have spray gun so what is suggested way to apply new clear coat.

You're about to experience a nightmare unless you send it to McD for the refinish.
McD uses UV and a lot of it, it's thick. It would be money well spent. Call them.

I agree, I have done multipule what appeared to be "SIMPLE" refinishing jobs on McD's and now refuse to do any more.

i never seen finish that thick before my Mcd nitemare
must have been close to .100 on the diameter

McDermott has a very high tech shop and can probably refinish one of their cues for less than most any quality shop would be willing to do it for.
