Cloth choices for 3C - non-heated 10’

Greetings.

I’m setting up an Olhausen 10’ for my community center. We used to have a Rapide 300 for the last couple of years. Kids and some non-considerate players might have poked the tables & caused lots of holes.

I’m aslo switching out slates, so we’re in need of a new cloth.

We used to play libre but are now learning 3C. I’m reading on here that some had recommended Royal Pro cloth because it doesn’t trap moisture. So using it can benefit non-heated table.

Please give feedback if that’s a valid claim. If not which cloth we should get and recommend a dealer to get it from.

Cost saving & quality balance is important since I’m paying out of my pocket for free play. And I play there as well.

Thanks

cant beat royal pro, its all over europe and south america

half the price of simonis, needs no electricity to play well, always fast
entire billiard clubs in europe have unplugged the heater

just follow pavlos zacharidis on facebook and youll see

i hve had it for 2 yrs, ive used simonis,
i like not using the heater, and saving a couple hundre bucks on cloth

royal pro can only be bought through one place in the us,

3cushioncues.com

i never noticed too much of a difference in speed with the heater on or off to justify keeping it on all the time
with simonis or royal pro
too small to notice, only a top level player could tell

I've had Royal Pro on my 10' unheated Carom table for about 8 months now. I think it plays great and is holding up well. I'm no expert, a novice player actually, but I like the cloth.

Thanks for all the feedback. It’s great to hear about Royal Pro good performance. I’m ordering 2 sets!!! 😁

I got my table used a long while back and my guess the cushions are at least 15 years old. They play ok now but I’m not a pro player so I can’t tell how good it still is.

How do you decide when it’s time to replace cushions? If you do, what’s the best for 3C? Artemis P37? Best source to get them at?

Thanks much.

Pavlos is a very good table mechanic and recommends replacing the rubber after 12yrs

Best for 3c eh who can say

There are artemis p79 is what i have
cant tell a difference in it between it and 37 unless again your a pro

There is artemis p37
And whats on most tables is klematch p37

They are exactly the same thing! They are both even the same color, grey!

Only difference i see is a name an 50 bucks in price

Artemis is 400 foe either

Klematch is 450, why? Who the hell knows

All 3 sets can be bought in the us here
https://www.classicbilliards.net/
Free shipping

But changing the rubber will probably require changing the subrail liner
You should ask ken if he selles these when you buy the rubber

If not youll have to buy the liner from overseas
The soren sogaard website sells these
They have liners for several types of rubber including the main 3 mentioned before
