You have to have the e-stop input set correctly. It will not come out of e-stop. You may condcider getting on Art's mach web site. He has a videos that show how to set up mach3 for the first time.

I have no experience with MACH3 - but I have been on the edge of skipping my DSP for a MACH3 setup.
However, I have learned from others that MACH3 may be hard to put up
on a machine. I have looked at several other options and here is one that
seems to work a lot better. You do not need to put the machine in to which
ever mode to have the real time part working, this is ported out to a chip
on the break out board. SW could be downloaded for free and work in evaluation
mode without the break out board (I have looked at CPU4 board):

Check it out: www.usbcnc.com

The man behind it, Bert, is the most responsive person I have been in contact
with and I'm almost 99% there to rip my controller out of my machine and
convert it to a PC setup WITHOUT the need of a old fart PC with a printer port
running in a delicate mode to have the real time part working...
Probably not the best advice you have received, but at least a option to consider
if you feel the need for a upgrade.
