Wow! The CNC "Rage" is becoming just that. In setting up the first machine we discovered a lot of exciting things about cutting shafts and butt components on the "Rage". We were able to cut 1" squares to final shaft sizes in three passes with great finish surface. Before our initial test we thought this was impossible. We know you would never cut a shaft this fast but it speaks to the cutting capability of this machine. It is now easy and fast to cut 1" or 1 1/2" square to round or tapered in one pass. We typically are cutting at 12 to 15 ipm on shafts so cutting shafts to round would take about 3 minutes per pass. On the 4 cue "Rage" you are cutting 4 at a time so you would cut 100 shaft blanks in less than 90 minutes. Any of you out there who have cut a lot of shafts realize just how significant this is.
The machine is capable of running 120 ipm and travel is 19" wide by 39" long. You can inlay 4 cues at a time and rotate to position automatically with 4th axis rotation. The capabilities are endless with this machine!
As most of you know, we pride ourselves with great customer service, and this machine is no exception. Training DVDs are included with the machine along with phone support with software and the machine functions. We build all of our machinery as well as use it in our shop daily.
We have had a overwhelming response about our CNC "Rage" machine. There have been a lot of inquires about the machine so we decided to share some knowledge with all the cue makers on AZ. If you have any questions about the machine, please do not hesitate to ask.
