Any thoughts on which give the most bang for the buck? I know we can buy them from Atlas, they sell a regular and ultra bit. Also Unique sells some. Brianna sells them. I heard Precise Bits sell good ones. I think 1/32 and .02 will be the sizes I use most, with a 1/8 inch shank to fit my Cuemonster quiet router. Fishtail design seems to cut well for me. A length of cut of at least .125 is needed. I figure the market changes, maybe there are new ones out there that really shine, or are dirt cheap and one can just pitch the cutter after a few inlays. Always using a fresh one to give a nice cut.
I have seen past threads on this, but not any serious comparisons. What are your thoughts guys?

I've tried a number of different end mills from Atlas, MSC, J&L Tooling, some low priced imported ones and the ones from Precise. Once I tried the Precise I quit looking for other ones. They cut very consistent from the time they are installed until they are worn out. Very little breakage at realistic speeds operating speeds. I have about a dozen brand new import ones that just lay in the drawer. They were cheap but way to brittle and when changed the pockets or parts would not fit properly. For the last 4 years or so that I have been using the Precise, I seldom check to insure that the parts fit the pockets on newly designed inlays as I know that the tool off-set is always the same when using them. I'm a happy camper as far as end-mills go.
