i am not knowledgeable about cuemaking and trying to learn. i read the joss schon spliced forearm thread and cnc is mentioned . i did a search and did not get an answer . would somebody please explain cnc? thanks

As stated above CNC means (Computer Numerical Control). This means the machine is controlled by a computer instead of a human turning the handles. This can be used to cut pockets, inlays, tapering and even to splice cues. V-groove points can be cut using CNC with the proper tooling. So CNC does not always mean rounded points and rounded inlays as some seem to think. It is a tooling method that does some aspects of cue building, but there is still a lot of hand work involved.
