Here is a little different color combo.Let me know what you think. I got the yellow wood from a local lumber yard and it was called armidillo wood. Ithink it may be known as yellowheart but I am not sure.If anybody knows that this is the same please let me know.Thank you Joe Callaluca

Very, very, very nice cue there, Joe! A job well done!

I may be mistaken, but I believe yellowheart may also be referred to as satinwood....much prettier name.:)

cocobolo, armidillo and ebony

This yellow wood could be osage orange, or as we know it in the south, beau d'arc. This is a great looking cue!

Joe:

I like your sense of design... this cue is beautiful and all of the components compliment eachother and make for a cohesive design and a clean look.

Great work!

The whole design is nice. But, I REALLY like those rings! The joint rings are a nice variation of the old JW pattern. And, the variation in the C D and E positions is a nice complement. Me likey!

i have had this cue in my hands and hit a few balls with it. it plays as well as it looks. joe is a very good player as well as an up and coming cuemaker. that's a great combination, he builds cues for players. he has already done some titlist conversions including one for me and they have come out great. i recommend joe for repairs as well. keep up the good work!!

Very nice cue. I like how you took a rather classic design and used the woods you did to make it rather unique. Very nice looking.

Nice work! I like the windows very much.

The supplier probably meant Amarello, as in Pau Amarello. That is another name for yellowheart, which is what I do indeed believe it is. I do not believe it is Osage Orange.

Someone mentioned satinwood. Yes, that also is another name for yellowheart, though there are other species called satinwood as well. Yellowheart is Euxylophora paraensis, and is from Brazil.

Some satinwood is Chloroxylon swietenia, and is from Asia. It does have a golden color, but not bright yellow like yellowheart, different tree.
