I never see any comment about Coker cues on the forum. What is the overall thinking on these? Anybody have first hand experience with them as to how they play, quality etc.?

I really like mine, nice balance, the finish is great and the cue plays great too. Check out matadorcues.com.

Thank you, but I stumbled on that site already. Nice looking cues.

I've had a few Cokers, I worked in his shop a couple of years ago until I got too busy with tables to commit fulltime anymore.
I tend to like some of his older ones better for playability, and used a cocobolo plainjane with a cocobolo joint.
If you're looking for a good deal on one, I'd talk to Mike at Matador cues, or Jude Hammond with Shaftmaster. He has a beautiful purpleheart Coker that he traded me out of. That's one I should have kept just on looks factor.
Although I have to admit I never used the Coker shafts with it, I had a zshaft that I put on it at Reno last year when I tried selling it to JCIN.
