Cold weather cue storage

Stupid question... do cold temperatures affect a cues play the same as warm temps? Live in an older house where the temps inside can get as low as 50 degrees when I turn the heat off. Could this pose a problem

my garage is converted into a game room where i keep my table and cues . it has no heat except for an electric space heater which we turn off when not in use. i would say it gets into the 40's overnight during winter and none of my cues have ever been affected in any way over the last 3 years i have lived here.

i do recommend you leave them in a case and not leaning against an exterior wall however.

also i have an 8 year old viking i have left overnight in my car in 20 degree weather in winter and 9 degrees in summer too many times to count when i used to bar hop and its still as straight as the day i bought it.

i also sometimes ride my bike to the pool hall with my case strapped over my back when my gf needs the car in as low as 40 degrees with no ill effects over the the last 2 years. well except my cues are cold as icicles when i 1st take them outs the case.if its colder than 40 and she got the car i sit my ass at home and skip league that night.:grin-square:

i suppose certain weather conditions could affect cues with shoddy craftsmanship or inferior glue but i have never had an issue with the dozen cues i currently own.

Thanks for the response. My last cue was an old dufferin treated as well as my shotgun, so i am probably a little over concerned for my new baby
