I was watching sigel bs some guy play 10 ball. This guy got ball in hand and played the 1-10 combo.

The ten ball was near the foot of the table corner pocket about a ball off the rail near the first diamond. The was near the head. The play was one ball into the rail, 10 bAll corner pocket. The commentators were talking about how going rail first makes the pocket bigger for the ten ball. I agree bug can't say why. Anyone know?

Is that if you hit a ball sitting near a rail along the rail toward a pocket and it contacts the rail it's riding along, it will be less likely to fall than if it veers a little bit away from the rail and hits the opposite facing in the pocket.

If you go rail first, the ball going into the rail will dig into the rail making it more likely to hit the far side of the OB and prevent it from hitting that rail on the way in and hanging up.
