I just watched Cory Deuel come back from the dead on Johnny Archer for a GREAT hill/hill win! He played a 3 rail draw shot that will be talked about on AZ for days! I'm more than glad I paid my $20.........

what a great match. I too am glad I paid my 20 bucks. very well worth it. the only problem is this is the 3rd night in a row that I am glued to the computer and that leaves no family time or pool time.

Here's Corey's excellent draw shot. I'm not 100% sure, but I think He may have went rail first. I don't know how to bend the line on the cuetable, but off the 1 ball the cue ball bent about 4 inches going to the second rail! I've seen Him hit some killer draw shots, but to do this in a match where He was down 6/1 at one point took a lot of nads!! also, I guessed on the cue ball spin

Yeah, that's a rail-first, low-right spin shot. I've never learned to do it myself, but I remember seeing a video Hal posted in another thread of him shooting the shot very well. If I were less lazy I would try to find that thread. I don't think the shot's as difficult as it looks, but that's coming from someone who can't make it

That particular shot is in fact much easier than it appears, and is very handy in situations like the one in the example. It's much easier to do when the ob is not frozen on the rail, and I've found that it's really easy for the eyes to misjudge the shot, and hit the rail too close to the ob and hitting it too full. This is just the way that my eyes see it, but when I'm trying to pocket a shot like that, I aim for a point on the rail that almost makes me a little afraid of missing the contact completely and resulting in a foul. With the ob frozen to the rail, I just can't pull it off with any consistency, but I have from time to time.
Doing this in a game is a blast to watch your opponents reaction 'cause in most cases he's sitting in his chair thinking to himself "ok, he can pocket the ball, but he's never gonna get shape."
