Why do so many of the live stream pool matches have no one doing commentary? Among the few that do, several have the commentators talking about football, drinking, the party last night, and stories from their past, while ignoring the match right in front of them. Viewers would like to know:
Who is playing?
What is the score?
What is the race?
Where are the brackets posted?
Who is the defending champ?
If there was a Calcutta, who were the favorites?

A pic is worth a thousand words, but a pool match without commentary is frustrating.

Why don't you start your own stream. Then you can choose to discuss anything you want.

I agree!!!

I don't know which stream you were watching, but I believe it was the same one I was watching (this weekend???). The commentary was not only lacking, it was very unprofessional and unworthy of even being compared to "commentating". I actually heard the guy calling another person a "queer" and then moments later a "rectum ranger", all this in between giving us updates on the Dallas Cowboys football game. He was talking about anything and everything EXCEPT pool. It didn't take me long to mute the commentating. I'd rather there be no commentating than this garbage.

I watch quite a few streams and you will eventually hear similar things on virtually every stream . The girls at Rail2Rail are probably the best at keeping things on the level , and the folks who do the US Open . BigTruck keeps his on the up and up most times unless a spectator gets close to a mic. Gee , somebody said queer , can't tell you how many times i've heard God Damn and Jesus used as a profanity. When i get tired of it i just turn the sound down , the game is pretty self explanatory.

Every streamer doesn't have the money for brackets , and i think as things go along the Lonestar streams will get better, and they were drinking a little the other night. I don't like double standards on the chat but those who are streaming have the right to do what they want , their doing it. They let some things slide but offending certain racial and ethnic groups is okay but others are sacred cows.


Some people want to pop in and out every 15 minutes and be given a complete update , right now , instead of watching the stream , they want to be kept informed on their favorite players status and if their out they leave. Screw that , i watch pool because i enjoy the game , not a particular player.Many people think that each streamer has unlimited resources and can fund a crew.

Most updates are given by people on the chat who have stuck around all day.If you want professionalism you'll have to wait for someone to stand to lose money for that , unless the streamer has that as a personal desire.

You're welcome. Peeps need to stop in and see that you sir, along with Barbara Lee and others, thought this thing out, ran trial runs, tweaked and peaked, and have an open door policy in regards to any areas people/viewers feel could improve things (proponent of brainstorming). I look for even more good things to come from you guys as you evolve into the "masters" I know you will be. :thumbup:

Thank you for your comment. We strive very hard to provide good commentary and a respectful chatroom that anyone would feel comfortable participating in.
