Complete IPT stats for round 2, & both rounds combined

Here is the totals for round 2, Break and Run % has gone up to 36%. I really thought Corr and Williams should have advanced:( anyway Immonen and Manalo are really kicking butt!



Totals for all games played so far! 369 Break and runs so far 28.85% Yeah I know I have too much free time on my hands:D But I love to do statistical work.



Interesting to see Karen Corr in the top 10 with a low GLI of 5.22 and a nice a winning % of .544 way to go, I never would have thought she would have done so well. So many interesting things to go over and this is only the first tournament!

This is good stuff SlimShafty,
The more meaningful stats the better as far as I'm concerned.

It puts weight being statements such as Allison would be up with the guys if she had a good break etc.

By collecting a lot of this data we can tell a lot about what separates the players, where their strengths and weaknesses lie. How much better is A than B etc etc.

Other things I would like to see in this table are 'break speeds and averages' and balls made off break percentages and run outs for each player from opponent's missed break and runouts for first hit after opponent has broken, made a ball and missed without completing the out.

Thanks Colin, I too would love to see lots of info collected, have you seen any scorecards? are they even collecting balls made on the break? I too think this is really important stat, If you don't have a high % of making balls off the break your in trouble. I hope they at least keep the break and run streaks.

I think one thing that really helps all sports attract attention is individual player records and stats. And fans love to follow records, and have players try and break them, like right now who has the record for most consecutive run outs, I bet it's low right now.

Manalo has won 9 straight matches! How long will that record stand? can he continue the streak in the next round? all I know is I would be pushing these stats, because in the long run thats one thing that makes sports fans follow individual players.
 
I think it might be a really cool marketing ploy at some point in the future to have pool players card like baseball player cards that have stats on the back.:p Of course, the stats need to be standardized and accumulative to be meaningful. A bit of quip about the player too.
