Great looking cue.

What material is the shaft made of? A traditional joint such as radial as planned in the future will be better received here in the US,. Where is the hornbeam used on the cue? Does the butterfly on the shaft change any of the hit? I e. make for a harder or more stuff shaft?

Great style.

Hello,
Shaft made of Hornbeam which was painted black totally through.

Yes, we planned to make this cue stick with a radial pin. But changing standards means a lot of troubles, we are working on it to make all perfect.

White and black colors are Hornbeam. Red - Padauk, Brown - Lacewood.

Splices definitely change hit. A cue stick becomes densely, tougher. Splices on the shaft make deflection lower.

Thank you for the interest!

Very interesting. Look forward to seeing some review on here. They're beautiful and unique for sure.

I have to know. How do you maintain a horrnbeam shaft that is black. Black and shiny shows everything of course.... not even Predator with their Revo shaft decided to do black. They went to grey matte rather than shiny.

Most interesting. I know hornbeam is used like ivory sometimes on cues but I have not ever hit or seen them in my league or in Las Vegas,

If you get a little dent on the shaft.... do you steam it out like maple shafts.... or... if you use a bit of 2000 grit sandpaper, or micro-burnish papers, doesn't it show "some" discoloration on the shaft. Does sanding or burnishing eventually get through the black part into the natural color?????

P.S.I really hope you put a bio or some info on how you got into cue building, etc on Panjo or anywhere on AZbilliards... to inform buyers of your craft, why you choose to use the materials you do, who in the industry inspired you as a craftsman etc. Hard for potential buyers to decide to buy from mother russia without more information. Just my 2 cents.

Happy Holidays,

Brent

Cue stick sold.

Overwhelmingly hornbeam uses in Russian Pyramid cue sticks. It's perfect wood for cue sticks because of its strength and density which with proper care can keep cue streight next to forever.

Hornbeam could be painted in different colors. Technology makes whole wood painted. If you scratch it or get a dent it still be the same color.
