Ok, so I had this idea while driving home from work. I guess it's kind of corny, but I think it will be fun and might even help some people.

If you like, please complete the following sentence in your reply:

"I am in dead stroke when........"

I will start it off with a few of my own.

1. My break is working.
2. My straight pool runs are flowing.
3. I am always on the right side of the ball.

Not sure what that is. I go into 'the flow'. It is a nice place where time kind of stands still, past and future games do not exist, I am playing much better than I do in practice and I am not aware of thinking. Sometimes, when I am not completely there, I do think about the best safe to try or my next three shots while I am standing looking at the table.

I would agree on the break working,

plus when everything I bank goes in.

Everything else is elementary for me ...

(I always practice banks, 1-4 rails before a tough match - it tunes me up).

...I see the ball fall before I stroke it.
...I hear nothing around me but the tip tapping the ball.
