Suggestion...
I would not mind seeing some DVD's from you in the future, on your thought processes, for shot-selection, position play, moves, your personal strategies in general and against different players; in the games you prefer, 9-ball, one-pocket, whatever, how they might differ on different table sizes etc; unusual shots you have had to come up to get out; or have in your bag of tricks so to speak that you have yet to use; but would in a particular scenario...
I and others I am sure are not looking for the same trick shots that everybody seems to know and show when they are putting on/out a demo/shot/dvd/book whatever...
Personally, I would like to see the personal real-life, shots, moves and strategies of Robert "Cotton" LeBlanc on DVD(s)

you wont be disappointed, the past couple weeks cotton and I have been playing again and hanging out, we played for damn near 2 years straight. I was thinking about it and I think I have spent more time playing him than any one else. We awalys have fun, I been pushing hm for another book since the first one came out so good, but the decision is his-i'm just leaning on him.
I dont want to sound like a pitch man, or advert, but it is one hell of a good book, it's the best book I have read in a long time. I liked the book on Stu Unger that came out a few years ago. Its worth the read and the cool part is its not a book that you have to start on page one and go page by page, i did but its not necessary. Lots of good tales of the road, girls, fights, tush hogs. the decades and how pool changed from a hustlers perspective. I been in pool rooms since 85, bars before that, some joints I was playing in when I was 15, Cotton sparked lots of my old memories. He nailed it, Sydney his sister did a brilliant job of keeping it real.
Thanks Cotton, I think you have 2 on the wire, After yesterday I need a beer or 6 and we can skip playing today,

I have just picked up your book again. I went away on business and didn't bring it with my and I had only read about the first 1/4. After going at it again last night I just couldn't put it down. The stories you have in this book are truely amazing. I love the fact you were such an animal lover, finally had to stop reading last night so I could get to bed but I only have a little bit left.
I think your time with "Petey" is just about to end :frown:, I am an animal lover myself so I know what you went through. My dog "Buster" lived to be 16.
Anyways I would recommend this book to anyone, you have lived quite the life. All the best to you and yours, thanks again.

Robert, I just lent your book to an older guy whose nickname is Dakota. He used to own a pool hall in Cleveland. His real first name is Elmer, but I have forgotten his last name. He just read a "pre-release" copy of Alf Taylor's book and liked it, so I figured he will like yours. I know, I should have talked him into buying a copy, but if he likes it he will recommend it to others who will buy some.
