In 1965 Buddy Hall came to Memphis and we played some cheap 9 ball at Richie Austins pool room. I lost several games and pulled up. He then offered me the eight and he'd take the break, I thought I had a good game, NOT, lol ! I then steered him to a top local players pool room and he spotted Buddy the seven, haha ! We became friends after that ! Buddy is the best, his book is the nuts !
