Just a public service announcement that it has been confirmed that Cues definitely can't be carried on yet. 2 friends of mine went to Vegas today for the APA Singles Event and had to check their cues in their Luggage. So bummed about this, if all goes well I will be heading out next year.

When I went I just had it shipped to the Riviera and picked it up there. They have a small post office type thing in the main lobby.

I would trust shipping more than checking the bag itself. You can also buy a travel case for the cue.
 
I believe that, when the ban was first said to be lifted and there was great rejoicing on the Forum, "West Point 1987" and I both wrote in and said that we would believe it when we saw it.

I would seriously consider this over checking it as baggage as well. At least that way I'd have control over how well the whole case is packed and protected inside a rigid, sealed box
 
It's funny because when I arrived at Mccarran airport in Vegas on Monday the 22nd on my way to baggage claim
There were 4 or 5 people who just got off the plane that had their cues in hand , said they ha no issues taking them on the plane... I know if this was me , I would have been turned away.. So who knows..

I got a suitcase large enough for my porper 2x4 to fit inside of it and this is my second trip to Vegas with no issues.. Although I leave my mottey and tasc at home and brought the Jensen and my omen breaker . Which if something happened to them I would be heartbroken but its a better alternative of then the others..
