Though he does not play hardly at all anymore...Congratulations to Flyboy on his accomplishment of the Lifetime in action award at the Derby this year.....I hear the guy used to really get it out of the mud.....Congratulations buddy....Now go all in and snap my buddy off again with a bad call..(Just playin) maybe....David Parker

Jimmy has been betting high for 40 years now. And smiling all the way. He just loves the action. I first played him in my poolroom in Bakersfield in the early 70's. We played 50 a game One Pocket, pretty good action back then. He would always stop by my place whether he was heading South or North.

A great guy to gamble with, never a whimper or a whine, and would only tap his cue if you made a good shot on him. Flyboy is one high class gambler!

All the people that don't know of Flyboy are going to chit when they start finding out who and how he's played people over the years.

Like bumpin heads with Cecil P on a barbox for days and bettin a little something while they were at it.

I think it was mentioned in Buddy Hall's book that at the top of Buddy's game they matched up and played a 24 hour session with Buddy only being one set up after it was over...and they were playing even on the barbox. Pretty darn sporty!

James Waldon told me that he played Flyboy for a few months before the big Waldon/Cooney 100 bags of sand match at the Derby, and that he had won about 150 bags of sand from Flyboy.
