Congrats John, but he got a little lucky

some real sweet sweet rolls AND they ended the second last session early when he lost 6 in a row (was supposed to be an 8 frame session)

having said that, he still played better and deserved to win,

he played alot better in eariler matches, but he did get a bit lucky, i agree with your post
 
Am I missing something here? Higgins won, and the second session was 8 frames as planned. The overnight lead was 12-4.
