Congratulations to Ga Ga Gabica for winning the SMB Phil. 9-Ball Open!!

Talk about a tough field! All of the sharks, world champions that the Philippines had to offer showed up and Gabica came out on top...

Very impressive, indeed. This is his second Phil 9-ball Open crown in its four year running. The other two times were won by Django Bustamante.

Ga Ga, I'm buying lunch when I see you at the upcoming US Open in October......

I played him a couple of months ago over at the Green Room, in Maple Shade, NJ for a Monday night nine ball tournament. I was getting massive weight. I was like a Pop Warner football player thrown onto an NFL field.

It was the first time I racked and broke every rack,as I was getting all the breaks.

I didn't know who he was and thought initially that he was Latino, until I asked the room owner after the first couple games. Pump stroke. Seemed to be hitting the cue ball the same speed, yet was able to easily able to move the cue ball all over the table. Had no problem putting the cue ball on a dime, from cross table.

I originally thought he was form another planet , but the room owner helped me out with that as well.
