I really respect wins in stud. And he has two 2-7 bracelets. And a PL PLO/8. Pretty versatile. Didn’t the 5k 2-7 used to be one the players wanted to win? Now is it the 50k mix Chip Reese event? I haven’t kept up with poker. Main event obv for money but the high stakes cash players seemed to want to win some other particular bracelets too

I really respect wins in stud. And he has two 2-7 bracelets. And a PL PLO/8. Pretty versatile. Didn’t the 5k 2-7 used to be one the players wanted to win? Now is it the 50k mix Chip Reese event? I haven’t kept up with poker. Main event obv for money but the high stakes cash players seemed to want to win some other particular bracelets too

The $10k events (stud, PLO, 2-7 lowball, etc) were referred to as the World Championships of that discipline. Nick has two 2-7lowball $10k bracelets and a $10k PLO8 bracelet. The $50k HORSE (renamed the Poker Players Championship with the Chip Reese Trophy to the winner) is like the all-around championship that all the pro players wanted to win.

Definitely belongs here in the Main Forum. Nick has always been part of the pool community. He and John Hennigan can often be seen at the Derby City Classic. I haven’t seen Nick hit a ball since he was a teenager, but Hennigan has gotten in the grease a few times at the Derby.

Yes, nice to hear. I met Nicky when he was only about 12 years old and we often played pool together back when he lived in New York City. Congrats to him!

Hennigan won his 7th bracelet recently, and Schulman is currently a big chip leader with 8 left in a $25k High Roller event.

I have always liked Nick. I met him years ago playing at the WSOP and have played with him a few times since. We said we were going to setup a pool match, but just never got around to it.

Also, props for the most badass winner's photo I've seen.
