Sparky Ferrell snaped off the Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour season opener at Shooters in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sparky has occasionally posted on this forum, so I consider him an AZBer. I know Sparky has worked hard to get things straigthened out in his life and I'm glad to see him at the top of a tournament. the final match between Sparky and Mike Davis was a good one to sit in on - this was also the first time i had ever spoken to Sparky and boy is he a character congrats on the win!

I can recall watching Sparky play in the "action area" at the DCC a couple of years ago. He was fun to watch - colorful and humorous. George Fels once told me that he thought Sparky, when he was really on his game, was close to being a reincarnation of Jesey Red (Jack Breit).
