Hello all! I finally made the move to Connecticut (New Haven County)....I have been to Ultimate Billiards (Berlin), Action Billiards (Hamden), and Corner Pocket (Waterbury). Maybe it is terrible timing, but I have not found any hot spots. I am not looking for action, but looking to find people to practice with periodically....any suggestions? where is everyone?

I'm usually at Rick's Billiards in Putnam, CT every saturday night and will play anyone. Cheap table time too so I could be worth the trip. It's $15 bucks and you play all night or $5 an hour. The only place I've seen cheaper is the $2.50 or $3.00 /hr I seen at Acu-Billiards in Massachusettes. Theres some nice places in Worcester Mass area that I sometimes make the trip to. London Billiards, Boston Billiards, Jillians. All good places to get a game.

Pool table magic is in East Windsor right off the highway. Get Mark on a nite he isn't to busy and maybe he will show you his collection. :)

Thanks to both of you.....I moved here to improve the level of my play....have been very impressed with the style/game of the guys over at Action Billiards and look forward to running into you along the way.....

It is the time of year not alot of people spending much time in poolrooms. You should be able to get a game at Ultimate and Action. At Action should be someone there most nights you can play cheap sets with($5-$10). This weekend is a two day tournament at Action you may want to check out. PM me if you want more info.
 
Thanks boradriver! I spoke with Sal Bev last week about the upcoming tournament this weekend....not sure yet if I will be there or not....but thanks for the info. Do you play there often?
 
Ultimate closed?

Anybody here know why Ultimate Billiards in Berlin, CT shut thier doors earlier this week?

They have a lot of shooters there, and I have seen a Joss tournament with some big name players.

Stamford is about 35 minutes form New Haven, where I went to college at SCSU. I live there for six years. Have lots of fun, or lots of fun will find you!

I am in Connecticut - have been since last June - this is an old thread that was restarted about three messages up - not sure why the poster didn't start fresh, but that is why it is confusing.
