Considering a carbon fiber shaft for my Adam cue. Brands to look at??

I have an Adam cue that I purchased (I believe) in the early to mid-90's. We bought our table in late '91 so it would have been after that. I am thinking about getting a carbon fiber shaft for it. I have recently been playing with a JFlowers cue with a 12.5mm CF shaft and really like it. I've come to realize that I miss playing with the Adam cue and would like to "update" it.

The cue has a 5/16 x 18 joint. I would like to stay with the 12.5mm shaft

Looks like Cuetec has one in the Cynergy line, and Mcdermott in their "Defy" models. Bull Carbon offers one with a 12.25mm shaft that uses a removeable insert instead of a set threaded mount. I was able to test fit a Bull Carbon to the Adam cue today and it did feel really good. Any other brands/models that I need to check out?? Or am I being foolish for considering spending $400 or more dollars on a 30-year old cue??
If you want a tip bigger than 12.5, then I'd go with the 12.9 Revo.

If not, I'd go with the 11.8 or 12.4 Cuetec Cynergy.
