Choose one that has the same tip size as the shaft you currently play with. If you like 13mm for example, the Predator 314-2, the OB1 or OB Classic, or the Tiger Ultra LD are all good shafts to start with. If you play with a smaller tip, like 12mm, a Predator Z2, Tiger Pro X, or OB2, or OB Classic Pro are the places to look.

I've tried them all. I am now playing with a Tiger Pro X and I've adjusted to the 11.75mm tip - I'm very happy with it. I could not go back to the larger tipped shafts and see no reason to.

I began playing with a 314v2 shaft and loved it. I found a deal on here for a Z2 shaft and never looked back. It just feels better in my bridge. I have smaller hands, so maybe that is the reason. If you struggle spinning the cue ball, I would look at the Z2, if not the 314v2 may be the way to go. Either way, it is going to be whatever YOU are most comfortable with.
