Hi, I want to build my own special cue case (something like INSTROKE or so), but I don't realy know how to do it. Does anybody know where I can get something like a construction manual or something like that? Or links on the internet?

thanks

I dont think there are any manuals...... but you can look at a case and make a trial pattern out of paper of your own design and work it up that way. Or if you want to rip off the design just to be able to say you made a case, dismantle an existing case and use the components as patterns to cut your own leather. Not real hard to make a case. Just real hard to make a nice one. ;)

Here's a recent thread.

Also, there is a leather case building manual out there, but it's not cue cases. Jack Justis started with this book, according to some article.

Al Stohlman, The Art of Making Leather Cases

Good luck,

Fred

"The Art of Making Leather Cases" by Al Stohlman , is three volume book. All three are excellent! Can be brought from Tandy. I agree with RiverCity on dismantle a case. But you can also find a good leathercrafter that might help in building a cue case.
Good Luck

There was a big guy named Mo I used to play with a little. Mo made his own case...... his wasnt too nice though. He cut up an old ratty terrycloth bathrobe and made a sleeve that had a divider to keep the butt and shaft seperated. Served its purpose, but was not real nice to look at Big Mo's old dirty bathrobe...... :D
