Contact lenses for pool ?

Glass are pain in the a$$. I even tried getting some billiard glasses from:
http://www.billiard-eyeglasses.com/

But still they seem to fall off my nose on certain shots and I can't seem to aim properly when I'm playing a jump shot.

I use contacts every time I shoot pool, they help your game a lot than using glasses(unless you can get used to em).

Depends what the OP is after, if he is only shooting a few times a week, then the dailies will last a long time (pack of 30 for each eye = 15 weeks)

They helped me. I have an astigami..., an asigamiss..., I can,t see worth a crap out of my right eye.
Contacts cured this problem and I'm still develishly handsome without glasses.
Don't forget to take them out at night if the doctor has told you to. :)

Anyone playing in contacts with astigmatism? I have pretty severe astigmatism in both eyes which affects my depth perception. Without my glasses the table looks like a cardboard cut out. I've heard that contacts for astigmatism need to "reseat" every time you blink. This is why I've been hesitant to try contacts

Ben

I have a slight astigmatism and use Acuvue Advanced. I switch between the ones for astigmatism and the regular ones. Honestly, I can't tell the difference between the two except the regular ones are easier to put on. That said, you do go through a transitional period with contacts. I think it takes about 2 or 3 days. Since I wear contacts most of the time, it's very very difficult for me to switch back to glasses. In fact, when I do, everything looks slightly warped. Regarding your situation, I would advise talking to an optometrist. Let them tell you what you can expect to see. If you tell them you're an avid pool player, they'll probably be able to make the best possible recommendation.

If you get contacts, get some that work for you from about 2-12 feet. My eye doctor is actually a pool player, and knew exactly what I needed. I am like the other poster above, put them in to play pool, and no more fuzzy edges. Take them out when I get home.

I only wear mine for pool. One contact for distance on the dominant eye and one contact for close/reading on the other eye. The whole table is clear.
