Daniel Sanchez beat Ruben Legazpi 50-49 in 23 innings, but that is only part of it. After Sanchez' seventh inning he led 12-3. After the tenth inning Legazpi led 27-12. That's right, Legazpi outscored Sanchez 24-0 in four innings (9,4,4,7). After 18 innings Legazpi led 38-28. Then Sanchez made a 7 and a 1 to close to 38-36, but Legazpi came right back with an 8 to go ahead 46-36 after 20 innings. Neither scored in the 21st inning. The last two innings were the thing of legends. Sanchez ran 6, Legazpi made 1, and Sanchez ran 8 and out. With a chance to tie, Legazpi made 2 more, but came up short on his final attempt.
