I recently moved to an active adult community. They have 4 GC's in the clubhouse and they were recently recovered. I don't know what they did to the corners. What do you think?
Thanks,
Harry

This is fairly common on older tables. Years of ball impacts to the thin facings causes the wood behind them to weaken and deform. It appears that this table has gotten a lot of use over the years. To fix this issue, the subrail wood needs to be repaired/replaced.

Edit:

Aside from the facings being very poorly trimmed, it also looks like the cushions were not cut very straight, prior to applying the facings.

Thanks Geoff,

All four of the tables have pockets cut like this & after playing on a few of them, there are some dead spots on cushions on one. When they're ready to be recovered, I'll find a better mechanic.
