I like your suggestion that I'm less believable because I don't have a name like Pechauer, but the visual is obvious.

Here is a comparison of actual Cortland. This isn't the light green #9 so the specks are darker, but you can see plainly that the strand count is different with a single colored thread in one strand only

you mention that your pictures in this post is NOT cortland 9
is it possible that what pechauer sells and ernie puts on the cue posted above is 9?
i am no expert and do believe you believe you are correct

Fuzzy photo but despite that, it looks like new Cortland would. Better photos would help but ultimately, you wrap can tell by the feel, especially after glass burnishing the strands. The feel is unmistakable for any other linen, or it always has been to my fingers over the years. It’s why it is on most of my pool cues when I could have used something else. But the Pechauer photo resembles Cortland but so could a substitute brand I suppose. This really needs a closer up, clearer photo.

no it's not like saying that
he is saying ernie and pechauer have spent decades to establish their brand
why take a risk to tarnish it on something that will not generate enough money To retire on ?

If they are calling the Hot Wheels version "Cortland", knowing what it entails, then it's exactly like that

If they are not aware of the difference, then their expertise should be questioned
