Cost eLEPHANT WRAP- Back

wrap and installation-
PROFESSIONAL CUE SHOP COST,
Thanks
Duane, Eddie charged me 80bux(labor) and did it perfectly. Elephant ear can run as high as 100+, regular elephant-embossed like Martin sells is around 20bux plus shipping. Update: Billiard Bill's does EE for 250 installed.

I'm not sure if you're asking for what you should pay for or charge for the service. Genuine elephant ear has been difficult to source for years, so when someone has it, you pay their price.

Please be aware that there is a difference between "embossed elephant," "elephant" and "elephant ear" wrap blanks. I will only reference wrap blank prices; not installation.
  1. Embossed is going to be some other animal's hide embossed to look like elephant and can be had for <$25.
  2. "Elephant wrap" has recently made an appearance in the market and at least one guy has been selling it for $100-200. It costs significantly less than genuine elephant ear and does not have the same look or feel, but some folks don't know better or don't care. Wrinkles in the hide are often deeper than the wrap channel.
  3. Genuine Elephant ear sells at a premium, and there is even a select subset where flaws are graded out. Elephant ear wrap blanks traditionally have sold for what those "elephant wraps" are going for.

When supply dwindles, folks tend to step in with creative selling propositions for making money.
A few others to be aware of in the cue world can be found in this previous post.
