I measured 18" inch length x 1 1/2" inch diameter , it's light.
I got busy so , I waxed it , rolled in wax paper and put it away , I didn't weigh it.
OK , a true bacote dowel @ the above measurements , what would it weigh?

The dust will smell and look like mustard if it is .

Without moisture content this would be a useless measurement, and with it, almost as useless.

Sorry Thoffen , after posting thread I aired and waxed the dowel , then wrapped with
wax paper and put it to bed.
That piece won't be seen again for awhile.
If you're interested , it was purchased from AZ member "holdemrw" in the machinery forum.
He's scheldued to update his sale thread 6 hrs from now (sunrise).
