could this create a problem??

So I got a new cue today and love everything, except the 13mm shafts.

I'm going to have one with the matching collar taken down here eventually but in the meanwhile could using a collarless shaft that's a little bigger in the joint create a problem?

If it fits tight and the step doesn't bother you then it will be fine.
